And he did it all while living out of his truck.

His apartment roommates were moving out in 2009, so as a way to save some money for a short while, Jantz decided to sleep in his truck.

He put a mattress in the back in January 2010. Eventually, he gained two roommates: one of his brothers and a teammate. They would pull into a parking lot across the street from the school at night, sleep and then shower in the Rams’ locker room each morning.

Jantz lived this way, by his own choice, until November 2010.

"The craziest part of this whole thing was when I was living in my truck," Jantz said.
