Big East should lose AQ status
ESPN: Big East to expand - Boise plus fillers....
does this look like a BCS conference to you?
Houston
UCF
Boise
SMU
Rutgers
SDSU
Uconn
South Florida
Louisville
Cinci
seriously, that's still easily the weakest major conference in football. I think they will have more teams leave and this wont last long.

"Seneca Wallace" running away with it.
Frankly, I don’t see this as any worse on the field of play than what they already have.
It’s a complete and utter joke in terms of tradition/fanbase/facilities/logic, but in terms of actually playing football, I almost see an upgrade.

Louisville
I cannot speak in relation to the other teams, but the Univ. of Lousville has some top notch facilities. I recently completed a graduate program there and all of their sports facilities are first class. That said, they still have a way to go as far as consistency and credibility. Their fanbase still thinks they live in the Bobby Patrino days and they thnk Charlie Strong is the second coming to Jesus. I was hoping the school would get picked up by the Big 12 so I could see my Cyclones visit.
Regardless, my vote in the poll above is Seneca Wallace. If Troy Davis were an option, he would’ve gotten it.
Im still holding out for this to happen
would love to see cinci and Louisville jump ship and land in the big XII. and it would make a lot more sense that WV made the decision to come here if they did too. and it’s be great to have a north and south again and go back to an 8 game conference schedule with a championship game.
NORTH
ISU
WVU
CInci
Lousville
Kansas
K-state
SOUTH
Texas
OU
OSU
Baylor
Tech
TCU
very similar to the old south heavy big XII, but it would be real nice for ISU.

The Big East...
It’s like the Sun Belt without the self-respect and pretenses. First, they should not be allowed to call themselves the Big East. False advertising and all that rot. Three of the teams are west of the Mississippi River, and one is on the West Coast. Second, the Mountain West has a better claim to AQ than the Big East, even with TCU leaving. Nevada isn’t quite an even trade, but they’re close.
I will put an asterisk next to an Alabama Crimson Tide "fake national title" the second one is given. That day has not and will never come. But to be fair, I'll give you 1941 if you give me 1945 and the Missing Ring of 1966.
Big east should lose AQ and then that bid can just be used as another at large.

That'd work, but with one caveat.
Leave that AQ for a mid-major. It’s obscene that Boise State isn’t in a BCS bowl.

Boise State, SEC? HAHAHA!
They’d be at about Vandy’s level. Not new Vandy, OLD Vandy. Their only hope would be to join the East Division, and that would just be pathetic.

Boise State, or specifically your 2nd sentence had nothing to do with my comment ;-)
But tongue was firmly planted in cheek.
The MWC lost their claim at AQ status when
they lost TCU, Utah, and BYU.
What the hell happens to the rest of the MWC now? Merge with the WAC?

History of the MWC
1. Split from WAC
2. Steal teams from WAC
3. Become WAC again
4. Seriously what was the point?

Big 12 missed the boat...
Why didn’t the big 12 pick up Boise!?!? yes they had just committed to the Mountain West, but a new conference didn’t stop TCU from jumping off the Big East’s sinking ship. Am I the only one who thinks that the big 12 really missed out on this one??

Yes.
Boise State would have brought name recognition, but they would have ultimately hurt your SoS without bringing in a significant number of new viewers.

Not only that...
but it would make Ok. State and Texas Tech look Ivy League.

I thought that was Kansas' job.

Kansas is actually a pretty good school.
Fairly sure they are part of the AAU. But let’s get real here, DeVry looks better on a resume than Boise State.
I'm sure the fries at Boise State's campus are better, though.

Would they have hurt our SoS?
I mean seriously, we have Kansas playing football in this league. And it’s not like Baylor has always had RGIII or something. Ron Prince also coached at KSU, but I don’t believe these patently false allegations.

They should really be a basketball conference, like the West Coast Conference.
UConn, Georgetown, and Louisville are elite basketball programs. However, they no longer have any football programs worthy of the name.

Yep.
They play football in the Patriot League, Division I-AA. Their other sports are mostly Big East, of which basketball is their most notable.

The Patriot League
is a non-scholarship – essentially, its like a lesser (academically, of course) version of the Ivy League. Georgetown’s football team is therefore closer to D-III than Divsiion I.

Jesus man
I even knew to vote Seneca. Because seriously Seneca Wallace 1,000 yard “The Run” for life.
