Well it was a long wait, but this was a good one. The ISU men's basketball team sent the Huskers packing with an 83-82 OT whooping that severely damages any NCAA tournament hopes the huskers of the corn had dancing around in their heads. In the process, the Cyclones broke a depressing 10-game losing streak, yet still managed to match their highest single season win total over the last 5 seasons. (dammit McDermott - you program killing sob).
Senior Diante Garrett led Iowa State in scoring, though it was a complete team effort with all five starters in double figures and 6th man Calvin Godfrey falling just a point shy with 9. Nebraska was led in scoring by some red-clad douchebag.
