Oregon has been battling injuries all season, but it doesn't seem to matter. The Ducks rolled up 52 points on previously ranked (and Stanford beater) Washington, settling themselves comfortably into #2 status. The race for SEC #2 gained a little clarity this week, as Florida beat LSU much more easily than expected, and South Carolina absolutely trounced Georgia.
West Virginia scored 48 points in Austin on the once thought to be fearsome Longhorn defense, and the Big 12 title looks like it's going to have to be taken from Morgantown, West Virginia. Kansas State looked very vulnerable early against Kansas, but rebounded in the 3rd quarter to make Kansas look like... well, Kansas. In handling Texas Tech with ease, Oklahoma seemed to prove the K-State game was just a hiccup, rather than a sign of major trouble.
The biggest struggle is the bottom of the ballot. 4 teams dropped out of the poll and somebody needs to replace them. The Aggies' 4-1 record (and only loss to Florida) is looking pretty good right now and Louisiana Tech is undefeated, so those two seem like locks. It's difficult to justify the inclusion of the Cyclones without keeping Texas Tech above them, but that would mean no drop for the Red Raiders even after getting hammered by Oklahoma. Baylor? Putting Ohio back in?
