It all started way back in 2009 in Lawrence, Kansas on an Autumn Saturday. After their last win against Iowa State everything seemed fine they were ranked and looked like they were going to be bowl eligible. That was until the night something horrifying happened; they loss to Colorado a team that had only won 28 games since 2006. Reports had gotten stronger about Mangino's misconduct and they did the unthinkable and loss to K-state a game they was a chalk it up win earlier in the year. The reports only got stronger and stronger from the Kansas City Star all the way to Jim Rome. After losing to Texas the team had one last chance to save a hopeless season and get a bowl berth against its formal rival; Missouri. The game went according to plan in the first half and than all the sudden the curse struck Sod Reesing and was sacked in the same end zone he was in two years earlier. The game was over with Missouri winning 41-39 and the curse still strikes kU football to this day. Some say ku football has a 25 game losing streak but no one will ever know.
