Nick Babb announced on Twitter Sunday morning that he had committed to Iowa State. The Arkansas transfer and younger brother of former Cyclone Chris Babb, was on an official visit this weekend in Ames.
I'm happy to inform everybody that I'm going to be an Iowa State Cyclone next year! #cyclONEnation S/O to @MonteMorris11 and @NazzyJLong ✊

The 6'5" guard will sit out the '15-'16 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but will have three years to play when he becomes eligible. Babb appeared in 26 games for the Razorbacks this past year, but played sparingly, averaging only 4.8 minutes per contest. He saw a career-high 18 minutes against Iona and twice scored 5 points, in contests against Wake Forest and Georgia.
Babb played two minutes in Arkansas' loss to Iowa State back in December. He missed his only shot and collected one rebound.
The addition of Babb fills one of Iowa State's four open scholarships and more importantly, provides a long-term solution going forward as the Cyclones will lose four seniors after the '15-'16 campaign.
