Steve Prohm has landed another big time commitment.
This time, Coach Prohm dove into the transfer market. Virginia transfer Marial Skayok made his commitment known Wednesday. Alex Halsted broke the news to Cyclone fans late last night.

Shayok will have to sit out one year before playing one season for Iowa State (in 2018-19). This is certainly a big get for Coach Prohm, as it will give him an experienced player who can play solid defense. Shayok also averaged 8.9 points last season.
Shayok visited Ames the weekend of April 7th and news from the recruiting trail went silent after that — until now. Virginia has played at a much slower pace than the Cyclones in recent years, so it will be interesting to see what his production turns into within a much faster tempo.
Here’s a video about Shayok during his freshman season at Virginia:
Iowa State is also said to be interested in a number of other transfers, as well as JUCO Shakur Juiston. We should see at least a couple more additions to the roster sometime within the next few months. Tune in to WRNL to keep you updated on further offseason developments as they happen.
