WRNL Trivia Part III

Today we finish our series of trivia questions for the chance to win a pair of tickets to the Oklahoma State game on Friday night in Ames.  Congratulations to craigbrackins21 for winning yesterday's competition. FYI, the tickets come in PDF format, so you don't have to worry about us assaulting you during a meetup, Jason Berryman style.

A quick refresher of the rules:

1. WRNL writers are not eligible.  Granted, none of them know the answers yet but this should just go without saying.  We don't need anymore degenerates in that stadium do we?

2. Answers should be provided in the comments.  The first complete set of answers that is correct wins

3. Answer every part of a question completely.  A few questions have multiple answers to them.

4. In the event of a tie (i.e., two people post the same answers at the same time) we will have a mindbreaking tiebreaker question courtesy of Kirk Haaland and Encyclonepedia.  Questions #3 and #4 are courtesy of Kirk today and will take some quality research to get the right answer.  I have provided a hint in each question about which decade these answers could possibly come from.

Questions after the jump.

WRNL Trivia Part II

As we teased yesterday on Twitter and Facebook, we are going to be doing trivia the next two days to giveaway two sets of tickets to the Oklahoma State game on Friday night.  The winner of today's contest will get one pair and the winner of tomorrow's contest will get the second pair.

Rules are simple but read them and follow them to ensure you have a chance of winning.

4. In the event of a tie (i.e., two people post the same answers at the same time) we will have a mindbreaking tiebreaker question courtesy of Kirk Haaland and Encyclonepedia.  If we don't use his questions today, we will be sure to use one or two tomorrow.

Questions after the jump.

UPDATE: We have a winner!  Check the comments for the right answers and the winner.  Check in tomorrow morning for the next round and the last pair of tickets.

Help Me... Help You! Survey Time!

Help_me_help_you1_medium

Hey everyone. The slave drivers over at SB Nation would like to hear your opinions and feedback on the user experience on this site. They are trying to improve user experiences, navigation and brand integrations and your feedback is valuable in this process. All responses will be kept confidential and the entire process will only take a few minutes. Also, as incentive to participate, for the 3 SB Nation sites with the highest percentage of members who complete surveys, SB Nation will make a $500 donation to the charity of our choice, in our name. Yes, it will make it look like we actually have souls.

Our choice will be the Ronald McDonald House of Des Moines, which serves not only to give children a place to stay while being treated at area hospitals, but also goes along great with our school colors, as any Hawkeye fan will be glad to point out, then run away laughing at his own cleverness.

WRNL To The SEC... errr... SB Nation

After blaming all our troubles on the Longhorn Network, we decided to quit Bloguin and apply for SEC membership. Unfortunately, we were rejected on academic grounds. Somehow, Forrest Gump is smart enough for the SEC, but we aren't. Luckily, SB Nation was kind enough to offer us an invite, ending Blog Realignment 2K11.

Yes, there's an Asian guy in the video. No, It's not me.

After Hiring Drew Rosenhaus as our agent, we were able to negotiate a contract for $2.86 a year to write on SB Nation. Between getting us almost 3 bucks a year, and convincing Al Davis to draft Terrelle Pryor in the 3rd round, the man is clearly a miracle worker.

CyHawk, Mark Kieffer, CrossCyed, and Cyentist will join us from Clone Chronicles, hopefully uncorrupted by the large amount of SBN cash we're throwing at them.

One of the biggest reasons that we think you'll enjoy SB Nation is the community features. Please feel free to comment on any article, or throw up a FanShot about something you want to share about the Cyclones, or anything else, for that matter. Also new are GameThreads, for those of us that can't attend a game and want to talk about why Landry Jones still continues to sport the creeper 'stache, or how Fran McCaffrey looks like he's about to have his ninth stroke in the half.

Oh, and of course, since it's Texas week, head over to Burnt Orange Nation or Barking Carnival and harass those Longhorns about how much you miss Garrett Gilbert.
