Paul Rhoads waxes on how he would love for Iowa State to be seen in the same vein as Kansas State. Meanwhile, Bill Snyder says he says he sees similarities between the two programs. It's a regular lovefest this week.

With other open jobs out there, Rhoads says: "It’s painfully obvious, though, how happy I am here. This is different from other jobs."

Nice story about newest JUCO commit Cory Morrissey, who went to JUCO just to work towards a scholarship from his lifelong team.

The Insight Bowl is interested in having an Iowa State-Iowa rematch. Count me out for this.

Iowa State Basketball

Another disappointing performance last night, as UNI defeated Iowa State 69-62. Poor shot selection, shoddy execution, and lack of defense was once again the culprit. I'm nothing close to a sunshine pumper, but it's not time to panic yet. This team will be streaky, and they will be frustrating to watch at times, but teams change over the course of a season, and this can be fixed.

Around College Football

By now we all know Mike Leach is the new coach at Washington State (which means not Kansas, thank God), but here's Bruce Feldman's behind the scenes look at how it went down.

Dan Mullen could be at the top of the PSU coach wish list... or not. Texas A&M could have a new coach before entering the SEC... or not.

To on the field stuff, here's Bill Connelly's rankings of the conference championship games.
