Iowa State Basketball

Iowa State defeated Texas 77-71, looking surprisingly efficient. All the fouls were left on the floor, as the teams combined for 69! free throw attempts. Couple of recaps worth reading: Yahoo! Sports, Burnt Orange Nation, and Go Cyclones. The win also marked the end of Chris Babb's shooting slump.

Around College Basketball

Duke loses! Unfortunately, Kansas did not share the same fate, blowing out Kansas State 67-49. Thomas Robinson looks like a legitimate player of the year candidate. It should be a heavyweight matchup against Royce White on January 14th

Georgetown beats Marquette, causing SB Nation's Marquette blogger to completely melt down.

Around College Football

West Virginia is now 3-0 in BCS bowls, making them the anti-Notre Dame (0-3). No wonder why I've always had a soft spot in my heart for them. The Mountaineers destroyed the Clemson Tigers 70-33, in the largest point output in Bowl history. This Clemson fan is still hoping for a comeback though.
