Cyclones in the NBA

The NBA season kicks off on Tuesday, October 30th, but for former Cyclones Royce White and Jamaal Tinsley their respective teams will play their openers on Wednesday, October 31st. White and the Rockets will travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons while Tinsley's Jazz host Dallas.

After a well-documented training camp hold out, White finally joined the Rockets and has slowly worked his way into a few pre-season games. White is putting up modest numbers in the pre-season, averaging 3.5 PPG, 2.5 REB and 1 ASST over an average of 14 minutes a night.

Without NBA League Pass or a sports upgrade, you may have a little trouble finding the Rockets on TV. Houston isn't scheduled for a national broadcast until a December 25th, Christmas day tilt against the Bulls. You can find their schedule here.

Watching Tinsley and the Jazz will be a little easier, as they're scheduled for several ESPN broadcasts. The Jazz will also play a few games on NBATV, which most DirecTV subscribers should have. Utah's schedule can be found here.

Tinsley will likely assume the back up point guard role for the Jazz, a role he flourished in during last season's stretch run and opening round playoff series against the Spurs.
