The Mid-Morning Dump - 12/13/12

VOLLEYBALL HONORS. Kristen Hahn, Alison Landwehr, and Victoria Hurtt all received AVCA honors.

EMIAH BINGLEY TRANSFERRING. The freshman guard is leaving Bill Fennelly's program after just seven games.

CSN PREVIEW. Bobby La Gesse previews what the Cyclone Sports Network will look like. I'd definitely watch Fizer vs. Brackins.

IT HAD TO BE KLIFF. Texas Tech living legend and Johnny Manziel's offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury is the new head coach at TT, and Viva the Matadors couldn't be happier. Red Raider recruits are also very pleased with the news. If you're unfamiliar with the guy who was the QB at Texas Tech during Seneca Wallace's run, here's more background. Kingsbury is the 6th head coach (Leach, Holgorsen, Briles, Dykes, McNeil) from the 2000 team, which is pretty impressive.

TUBERVILLE LEAVES EM HANGING. Tommy Tuberville left a recruit dinner mid-meal and disappeared, never to be heard from again until he was announced as Cincinnati's coach a day later.

HOT WIFE THEORY? Does snagging a hot wife mean you can recruit high school athletes? And why is there a connection anyway?

AIRBHG STRIKES AGAIN. In what should be routine news by now, once highly touted running back Greg Garmon is leaving Iowa because he's "uncomfortable with the offense". Greg Davis, ladies and gentlemen!

LEACH ISN'T ABUSIVE. Or so a report states after looking into receiver Marquess Wilson's claims.

BEGINNING OF THE END FOR THE BIG EAST? The seven Catholic schools are leaning towards leaving the conference, possibly as early as today, meaning a Big East implosion.

FOX SPORTS 2? John Ourand makes his annual predictions for sports media's future, and one is the beginning of more Fox Sports channels.

SHUTDOWN FULLBACK PREVIEWS THE BOWLS. All 36 of the bowls previewed in video. You really should watch them all, but if you just want the Liberty Bowl preview, here it is.
