ELITE SCORING DEFENSE. ISU held all but one of their opponents to below their season scoring average.

LUKE WELLS GONE. The Iowa State tight ends coach is leaving to join his newly promoted brother Matt Wells at Utah State.

2-0. The Cyclone women beat Texas Tech by a 58-54 margin on Saturday and are sitting atop the Big 12.

0-1. The wrestling team had a less awesome weekend, losing to Oklahoma.

ROYCE SUSPENDED. The Rockets took the predictable route in suspending Royce for not reporting to D-League, and Royce was quite unhappy about it.

A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME? The Big 12 is talking with the NCAA about possibly having a championship game even with just ten teams.

COTTON FALLOUT. Oklahoma was routed by A&M on Friday, which led to them losing their best LB commit, and this "Hello" AT&T commercial remix featuring Johnny Manziel. The major reason for the loss was the decline of the defense.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN. Berry Tramel talks about Louisville, possible Big 12 member.

CHIP'S RETURN. Another year, another NFL team interested in Chip Kelly, and another year he's returning to Oregon.

NCG PREVIEW. One Foot Down has a good preview of the National Title game tonight.

RG3 DRAMA. The Washington Redskins let RG3 play despite a nagging knee injury, and famed surgeon James Andrews says he was never in favor of the decision. Of course, this led to RG3 injuring himself more on the terribly sodded FedEx Field.
