The satanic mission of Jamie Pollard rolls on.

The Cyclones played perhaps their most complete game of the year to beat Notre Dame with ease, despite a tentative start which included perhaps the most embarrassing missed dunk of the year by Melvin Ejim. But just like Alabama did to Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship, Iowa State started exploiting Notre Dame's lack of FGCU-ish athleticism on the inside and hammered the Irish with a very effective 52.6% two point performance. ISU dominated the game despite having only two players in double figures, and Will Clyburn having an off night (usually a kiss of death for the Cyclones).

Jack Cooley led Notre Dame with 14 points, but had a quiet night on the boards, and is now probably questioning why he ever thought Iowa State was comparable to DePaul. Iowa State players certainly weren't amused.

Iowa State will face Ohio State, who defeated former Cyclone Tavon Sledge's Iona Gaels 95-70. Tip-off is at 11:15 AM CT Sunday.

But wait, there's more good news! Jake McDonough heard about the atrocious Cyclone rap that we discovered earlier today, and is offering to put together a respectable followup.
