Bob Stoops brings his group of land thieves in to Ames with an all-time record of 71-5-2 and a 9-0 record himself against the Cyclones. Paul Rhoads is looking for his first win over Oklahoma and Iowa State's first win at home in the series since six years before Rhoads was born.
On paper this match up screams "blowout", but the Cyclones have been improving steadily throughout the season and the Sooners have yet to live up to their preseason billing. A loss to Kansas State in their last outing is sure to refocus Stoops and his group, but Mark Mangino has the offense buzzing at a clip not seen in Ames in years.
If the Cyclone defense shows up this could be a sneaky good game, but if not there's always the beer. Plenty and plenty of beer.
Settle in and cross your fingers that we get the under on the over/under on how many times we hear "Boomer Sooner"!
