Charges Dropped Against Bryce Dejean-Jones

Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports

The arrest of Bryce Dejean Jones that made headlines nationally this morning seems to have taken another strange twist.  From The Des Moines Register's Tommy Birch:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>No comment from Dejean-Jones. From the Ames Tribune's Travis Hines:

We're waiting on an update from the Iowa State Athletics Department and will have it as soon as possible, but needless to say this is a positive turn of events for the guard who has run afoul of Ames PD more than once this semester.

Although no legal charges will be pursued, the University and Fred Hoiberg could still elect to suspend Dejean-Jones, so we're not out of the woods yet folks.

Hopefully Bryce has learned his lesson, and didn't go too crazy with this on his way out of the Story County Jail:
