AP Top 25: Cyclones Move Up One to #13

Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

The Associated Press has released their new Men's Basketball Rankings, with Iowa State moving up one spot to #13 following victories over UMKC (73-56), Iowa (90-75), and Southern (88-78). The Cyclones will next be in action on Saturday against Drake in the Big Four Classic held in Des Moines. The headline of this game will undoubtedly be Jameel McKay, who will be eligible to play for the first time this season after transferring from Marquette.

Focusing on the rest of the Big 12, Texas drops from #8 to #9 after being leapfrogged by Gonzaga, who beat a tough UCLA team on the road. Kansas remains at #10 following narrow victories over Georgetown and #14 Utah, while Oklahoma moves up one to #15 after beating Tulsa by 19 points away from home. West Virgina also stays at #22, with Baylor and TCU just missing out on a top-25 position.
