Championship Weekend Open Thread

This weekend is for some of the trophies!

Welcome to Championship Weekend.  Where the conference that had the second championship game no longer does, and will likely end up with Co-True Champions.  Where the conference that refused to join this decade now boasts 14 teams and has a championship game that may have more of an impact on the overall Playoff picture than one would think.  Where a conference that already had its championship match up earlier this year, one that Arizona won, will have a rematch tonight.

Oh, and that Iowa State vs TCU match up that is the closest Iowa State has been to a relevant championship game since 2004 when they sat at home and watched the Big XII Championship Game while giving Bret Culbertson dirty looks.

Isn't it the best time of year?!

Grab some beers and celebrate the twilight of the college football season this weekend, and don't forget, the final College Football Playoff bracket will be unveiled at 11:45 AM CST Sunday on ESPN.
