Iowa State, in the midst of a tough three game stretch, welcomes Oklahoma to Ames today with revenge on their minds after an 87-82 loss in Norman last month. Iowa State gave up 22 second chance points in the loss and did so by allowing Ryan Spangler to have a breakout game.

It's easy to call this game a must win for the Cyclones as they battle three other schools for second place in the conference, and it's fairly true. Second place likely finishes with 12 or 13 wins in the Big XII, and with a home loss to Kansas already it's imperative that the Cyclones finish 8-1 in Hilton this season.
The good news is Oklahoma has struggled on the road in Big XII play with a loss to Kansas State and close victories over Texas (good), Baylor (eh), and Texas Tech (bad). Oklahoma's four guard set up is reminiscent to how Iowa State stretched the floor last year but the Cyclones are starting to find what line ups work and it would not be surprising to see the main line up of the day featuring Monte Morris, DeAndre Kane, Matt Thomas/Naz Long, Melvin Ejim, and Georges Niang. That leads to a questionable rebounding group but the trade off should be better shooting and ball movement, both of which the Cyclones struggled with in Norman.

So grab a beverage and strap in for another exciting Big XII contest.
