Two weeks ago no one would have believed Texas Tech was one game behind Iowa State in the Big XII standings, but here we are in mid-February and it's exactly the case. Riding a three game winning streak with wins over both Oklahoma schools, the Red Raiders might be one of the hottest teams in the conference.

They're winning with defense and giving up only 58 points per game during their streak and will be facing a Cyclones squad looking to rebound after a laughable blowout in Morgantown on Monday.

Iowa State is averaging 85 points per game this season but unbelievably is dead last in the conference in 3 point shooting after Monday's meltdown. Tech defends the 3 point line better than anyone else in the Big XII so it will be key for Melvin Ejim and Georges Niang to have big games down low if the Cyclones want to create some separation in the standings.

Tech rallied early in the second half when these two teams met in Lubbock in January, but ultimately fell 73-62.

Grab a beer and settle in for another Saturday afternoon tilt in the high plains of Iowa.
