Remember when Iowa offered students free pizza and ice cream at a basketball game?
Well, Hawkeyes, Texas Tech sees your promotion and raises you a billion more ounces of desperation!
That's right, Red Raider fans! You can walk away from today's game looking like a cheap version of Zorro as you go home to stuff your faces with mountains of junk food. If things weren't already bigger in Texas, your enlarged 5,000 gummy bear-filled muffin tops will soon change that! At least some lucky fan will be able to stand the unbearable 40 degree average low temperature this time of year in Texas with the "keeping it cozy" gift pack...
On a more serious note, the #9, conference leading Iowa State Cyclones travel to take on the last place Red Raiders today at 3 p.m. Iowa State is 1-1 on the road in conference play this year, with the loss coming at Baylor in an environment that is similar to what the Cyclones will encounter today... About 30 decibels' worth of pure intimidation.

Kirk Haaland's enCYCLONEpedia preview.
Losing this game would probably be the worst conference loss in the Hoiball era, due to its timing and final standings implications. ISU is surely looking forward to its first game against Texas on Big Monday, but by this point I think coach Hoiberg will have drilled the importance of winning every conference game into his team's mindset.
Georges Niang seems to be getting back into a groove, Jameel McKay has certainly shown the impact he can make for this year's team and everyone else is settling into their roles. Texas Tech is clearly the worst team in the Big 12, so I'm chalking one up for the Clones today.

What would Texas Tech's athletic department have to give away for you to come to their basketball games?
