What to Know

We're Talking Colorado - This game reminds cylentbutdeadly of the South Carolina game last year, though he's still predicting an 11 point victory for the Cyclones.

This Week in Colorado Basketball: Iowa State - The Ralphie Report previews the matchup from the Colorado perspective. Long story short, Georges Niang, Monte Morris and Jameel McKay are going to be a handful for the Buffaloes.

Colorado-Iowa St. Preview - ESPN's preview talks about Steve Prohm and ISU's goals heading into the season, as well as some of the guys leading the way for Colorado this year.

Prediction

Iowa State won going away in their exhibition game last Saturday, but still had room to improve as they played sloppy at times and shot a poor clip from the free throw line. Today's quality of opponent will be much better, no doubt, but I've got a good feeling about this one.

The Cyclones still have that loss to UAB on their minds, and starting the year against a power 5 program actually might help them focus more than they would against some cupcake opponent. I don't think it'll be a blowout, but I'm predicting ISU to pull away late and have a nice outing in Coach Prohm's debut.

Fuel for the hype chariot.

Iowa State 82, Colorado 67
