What to Know

Iowa State Holds Off Colorado in Sioux Falls - The Cyclones opened the season with a win over a Colorado team that might end up surprising a few folks this year.

We're Talking Chicago State - CBD predicts that Iowa State is going to win tonight. By a lot.

Chicago St.-Iowa St. Preview - According to ESPN's preview, this game should give us some more insight as to how ISU chooses to use their bench rotation.

Prediction

The scary one is out of the way. The "scary one," of course, meaning the neutral site matchup against the Colorado Buffaloes. Even though the crowd was about 90/10 in favor of Iowa State, it's never easy to win away from home, especially when the Cyclones shoot 2/10 (!!!) from the 3-point line.

However, now that ISU has done away with the Buffaloes, they get what should be two easy home wins back-to-back against Chicago State and Chattanooga before heading to Florida for the Emerald Coast Classic.

Tonight's opponent, Chicago State, won their first game with an eye-popping score of 137-59 over Illinois Tech. But don't let those numbers fool you. Illinois Tech is bad. Like, amazingly bad.

It's going to be a hell of a difference in opponent's talent for CSU, jumping from playing Illinois Tech to Iowa State. The Cyclones should have no problem dismantling the overmatched Cougars tonight.

Iowa State 98, Chicago State 56
