ISU Offense vs Kansas State Defense: Advantage, Iowa State. Kansas State's defense has struggled this year, especially when teams can run the ball on them. Expect a heavy dose of Mike Warren.
Kansas State Offense vs Iowa State Defense: Advantage, Iowa State. The Wildcats are one-dimensional, opting to run the ball much more often than passing. The last team like that ISU played (Texas) ended up having loads of trouble moving the ball.
Special Teams: Advantage, Kansas State. Jack Cantele is one of the most consistent kickers in the nation, and KSU's special teams units are disciplined and well coached.
Trolling Kansas State
The Weekly Troll: An Open Letter to Bill Snyder
It seems like every year is the year that ISU is supposed to get over the hump and finally beat Kansas State. Well, this year is actually looking like it could be the time that Paul Rhoads takes down Bill Snyder. Even though the Wildcats are favored in the game, Iowa State has looked like the better team for most of the year.
Now that I said that, expect the ageless Wizard to cook something up to prove me wrong. However, I'm still picking the Cyclones.
Iowa State 28, Kansas State 27
As a reminder, please keep the profanity to a reasonable level during the game. Iowa State football makes us swear (often), but cursing for no reason isn't productive, cool or funny. You, the commenter, have proven that you've got the capability of providing insightful commentary during the game. Let's see more of that instead. Thanks, and go Cyclones!
