The Mid-Morning Dump: WHAT WE'RE THANKFUL FOR

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOURS FROM YOUR PALS AT WIDE RIGHT & NATTY LITE. SAVE US SOME STUFFING.

Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, fellow Clones.

In lieu of today's link dump, we took some time to think about what we're thankful for this year. We know better than anyone that it may sometimes be tough to remain appreciative when, say, Josh Thomas doesn't center the ball... Bob Stoops calls an opening drive flea flicker... Mike Warren fumbles twice late allowing Kansas State to score 10 points in 82 seconds to win a game that Iowa State led by three touchdowns...

And yet, we're filled with gratitude. Somehow. Be sure to add yours to the comments and then go shove some food in your face.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for the private jet and beach house in Bora Bora that WRNL will be purchasing with the money our commenters have put in the Swear Jar this year. I honestly just wish they'd do more swearing so we would be able to buy a few solid gold Lamborghini's to drive around the island...

This fall, I've realized that we all should be thankful for Colin Cowherd. He runs a great show, where his opinions are always backed by fact, and I feel he has the best sports show on television. Plus, he's always shown the universities in the state a lot of love, and to me, that goes a long way.

I'm thankful for the 50% chance the Cyclones have of getting a rematch with UAB on Saturday so Georges can reenact the fight scene from "A Christmas Story" and go all Ralphie on their asses in retribution for the biggest nut shot in recent basketball history.

KnowDan

I'm thankful that you asshats didn't ruin our site when we promoted you from the kid's table to the adult one. Good job, here's some pie.

Vegas CyClown

I'm thankful I'm playing golf in shorts this weekend instead of shoveling snow.

RevDizz

I'm thankful that Iowa State is not an Adidas affiliate school. Whenever we have our most recent Iowa State-y moment, I'm always comforted knowing that things could be worse. We could be doing Iowa State things in their heinous getups. Also, I'm thankful for Dan's pie offering.

NormanUnderwood

The CYdeliner's mom.

I am thankful for George and Mary Pollard, who birthed five sons including Jamie Pollard, who grew up to be Iowa State's athletic director, at which point he hired Fred Hoiberg, who resuscitated Iowa State's basketball program back into national prominence and then bequeathed it to another Pollard hire, Steve Prohm, who now has the Cyclones sitting a 4th in the country and primed for a national championship behind arguably its most talented roster in program history. Thanks, George and Mary.
