The College Football Playoff Committee is getting what they want this weekend with play-in games from a few of the major conferences. And in the time it took to read this promo, Matt Campbell has offered 17 more recruits.

Iowa State Basketball

THE POWER OF 3SUS COMPELS YOU. You already know that Naz Long extended his name to Naz Mitrou-Long to honor his mother, but just in case you forgot here's another article from the Iowa State Daily about it.

Iowa State Volleyball

GET OUT THE BROOMS. Volleyball swept the Miami Hurricanes last night 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-20) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and advance to face No. 10 Wisconsin tonight on the Big Ten Network at 8 PM.

THE STRATEGERY. Bobby La Gesse dives in to what the recruiting strategy for Matt Campbell and staff will look like going forward. Spoiler alert: it looks a lot like what we've seen this past week with Midwest kid after Midwest kid being offered. My biggest takeaway from the article? Quarterback is so important to this staff that it's listed twice in their priorities.

MORE TOLEDO THEFT. Campbell and company have offered Toledo DT commit Edrick Mathews and he talks to Scout about it.

MORE OFFERS = MORE STARS. Four-star junior DB Amir Riep has been offered by the staff as well.

ALL THIS LEADS TO AN IDENTITY. In case you missed it yesterday, Ian Boyd at the mothership wrote about Matt Campbell trying to forge a new identity in Ames.

Around the Country

TIGER TELLS ALL. Tiger Woods sat down with Time magazine to talk about his career and his life in the lead up to his 40th birthday at the end of the month.

POP BEING POP. Craig Sager is back on the sidelines for TNT and Gregg Popovich responded to it in the only way he knew how.

ARM PUNT THAT WON THE GAME. Aaron Rodgers beat the Lions last night by throwing his hail mary pass so damn high.

STEVE ALFORD, RISING COACHING STAR? UCLA knocked off Kentucky in Los Angeles last night. Yes, you read that correctly.

ONE IF BY LAND, TWO IF BY SEA, THREE IF BY... HELICOPTER? Navy QB Keenan Reynolds might very well be a Heisman Trophy finalist, and he might need to be flown into New York by helicopter after Navy takes on Army that afternoon.

RISK AS YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT. The College Football Playoff Risk board, as told by Jason Kirk.

SCENARIOS EVERYWHERE. There is a lot going on this weekend and it gets messy if Clemson or Alabama lose on Saturday night. Here's a breakdown of all the scenarios for the Top 10 College Football Playoff teams.

HOW TO WASTE YOUR SATURDAY. All those games on Saturday are on TV and here's how to watch them.

BATTLE OF WILLS. Iowa wants to make Michigan State pass, and Bill Connelly thinks that plays right in to Michigan State's hands.
