Upset: Iowa State Goes Down

New, comments

Everything is NOT awesome.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

We'll regale you with a real recap at some point in the future, but needless to say that didn't go so well.

UAB used a pack it in style of defense and forced Iowa State to shoot the 3.  The Cyclones couldn't answer the call and shot only 26% from behind the arc en route to a 60-59 defeat to the 14-seed UAB Blazers.

For as good as Georges Niang and Monte Morris were in Kansas City last week, they were decidedly average today as they combined to go 11-28 from the floor with 26 points and six assists to go with six turnovers.

This marks the first big upset of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, and well, I guess that's all you can say about it right now. Enjoy the rest of March I guess.
