Yeah, there's still basketball going on

It's just so ugly.

A week has passed since UABDay, which seems like long enough for us to enjoy basketball again. A busy day of basketball with story lines abound!

Sweet Sixteen Games

To start the day, we'll have Wichita State looking to take down the high scoring Notre Dame offense to see if they can get another shot at Kentucky for ruining their undefeated season last year.... if Kentucky makes it out with a win against West Virginia.

The Mountaineers' physical style (foul because you can't call them all) seems to mesh with the style of play Cincinnati employed so well against Kentucky last week. There's still no guarantee of a good game, though given West Virginia is involved, what is guaranteed is a 2.5 hour+ game time and a lot of Kentucky bruises.

North Carolina vs. Wisconsin is probably the matchup devoid of links, save for Tarheel J.P. Tokoto having to face a swarm of Badger fans from his hometown. The ultra boring but incredibly effective style of Wisconsin probably means many in the stands will be asleep before the late game in LA tips off.

The late game, which might still finish before the WVU-UK game, features Sean Miller facing the school he left when he took the job at Arizona. If you haven't watched the Wildcats play this season due to them being in the Pac 12, do yourself a favor and stay up for this one, because there's a good reason many think they'll be the ones to give Kentucky the toughest game.

If you somehow wanted to lay some money on a national champ, here's some odds.

Kentucky #1                  1/1

Arizona #2                     13/2
