Fred Hoiberg's aortic valve replacement was a success according to Randy Peterson over at the Des Moines Register.
According to his press conference last week, Hoiberg opted for a mechanical replacement that should keep him from going under the knife again in the future. A pig or cow valve, while creating some man-Dreamy-animal hybrid, would only last another decade or two at best and guarantee the coach another operation.
There's no timetable for Hoiberg's return, but as we all know around these parts he's going to be back on his feet and stressing out doctors in no time.
Good luck in your recovery coach.
