You know that lack of frontcourt depth that ISU fans were all concerned with heading into this basketball season and the upcoming years? Well, a big portion of that problem was just solved.
Simeon Carter, a 6-foot-9, 210 pound power forward out of Charlotte, North Carolina announced his decision to attend Iowa State today. Carter had originally committed to Larry Brown at SMU, but had an "admissions delay" according to this Scout.com article which originally broke the news. Both Scout and Rivals have Carter ranked as a 3-star prospect.
For those of you wondering, Carter will be immediately eligible to play this season for new ISU head coach Steve Prohm.
