It's probably a little too early to call #17 Iowa State's game with Texas on Tuesday night a "must win", but it's definitely a "should win" or a "need to win". Sitting at 1-2 in conference play and coming off a baffling home loss to Baylor, tension and frustration are rising for a team that had aspirations of ending Kansas' Big 12 dominance.
In year one of the Shaka Smart era, things aren't exactly going as planned for the Longhorns. Losers of 3 of their last 4, Texas is just 9-6 and is in desperate need of wins. Especially troubling is that the 'Horns are without the services of double-double machine, Cameron Ridley, who could be sidelined the rest of the season with a foot injury.
The Cyclones have won 4-straight against Texas, but what does Iowa State need to do to win for just the 3rd time ever in Austin?
How 'bout this...
And this...
Yeah that ought to do it.
Iowa State 76 - Texas 70
