What to Know

Recap: Iowa State Comes Away Victorious in Manhattan: Last time out the Cyclones used a slower pace, a 2-3 zone, and consistent play to keep K-State at bay and win 76-63.

We're Talking Oklahoma: Part Deux: The Sooners come to Ames holding the top ranking in the country after escaping Oklahoma State and West Virginia. Last time in Norman the Cyclones led most of the way but wilted late, will the story be the same in Hilton?

Preview: Strengths & Weaknesses of Iowa State: Good: Hilton, Bad: Defense. SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE.

Prediction

Last year a technical foul by Isaiah Cousins gave way to a 20+ point run for the Cyclones as they pulled away late against the Sooners in Ames. Last time in Hilton it was Baylor who staged a furious come back late and gave rise to questions about what defines success for this year's squad.

It may seem unbelievable but it's true that tonight's game will be the first in front of Cyclone students since December 13th, a span of 36 days and three home games. Couple that with the new look of Steve Prohm as he asserts his control on the program and you have the recipe for another Big Monday in Ames.

Back and forth with runs on both sides, but the juice inside of Hilton will be too much for the land thieves tonight.

Iowa State 78, Oklahoma 74
