The Sooners set the tone early in the first quarter and never looked back against a dangerous Kansas State team that has given Oklahoma trouble in the past.
Baker Mayfield threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns, three to Dede Westbrook, as the Sooners’ offense dominated the day.

West Virginia played their first true road game of the season and throttled the normally high-octane offense of Texas Tech.

3. #9 Baylor Bears – Record, 6-0 (3-0)

Baylor had a little easier time against their second Big 12 cellar-dweller in as many games, cruising to a 49-7 win over Kansas in Waco. Seth Russell, who threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two more, played just the first half Saturday.
Shock Linwood, still tired from his 500 or so yard game in Ames, carried the ball only 10 times for 46 yards and one touchdown.
Baylor’s schedule stiffens over the next three weeks, which should determine their postseason plans.

Kansas State struggled to move the ball in Norman, gaining only 335 total yards on the day.

The Longhorns were noticeably excited with their performance against 1-6 Iowa State, a team that hadn’t surrendered a point to the Longhorns in five quarters of play before a second quarter field goal cut the Cyclones’ lead in half.
21 third quarter points proved to be enough to secure Charlie Strong’s job for another week.
