Week 7 Summary

The good news is we have a winning record over our last two weeks. The bad news is we went 2-6 last week. It was a rough week, but I guess that means we’re due!

Pick Wager W/L
Kansas State +11 $44 -$44
KSU OVER 60.5 $44 -$44
West Virginia +1 $44 $40
WVU OVER 83 $55 -$55
Kansas +35 $33 -$33
Kanas UNDER 67 $33 $30
Iowa State +14 $33 -$33
Iowa State OVER 69.5 $55 -$55
Total $351 -$194

Week 7: 2-6

Total: 32-31

Bankroll: $897

Oklahoma State (4-2) @ Kansas (1-5)

Saturday, 11 AM, FS1

Line: OSU -23.5

O/U: 61

This is Oklahoma State’s SECOND road game. That’s it. Are they really ready for a Big 12 road test? Probably not. Are they ready for a road test at Kansas? Probably.

As if its not easy enough already to prepare for the Jayhawks, the Big 12 did them a favor and gave them an extra week. Coaches like to make practice tougher than the opponent and I’m pretty sure BYE presented more issues than the Cowboys will face Saturday in Lawerence.

The Picks: OSU -23.5, UNDER 61

The Bets: $33 each

Texas (3-3) @ Kansas State (3-3)

Saturday, 11AM, ESPN2

Line: KSU -1.5

O/U: 55

Did Iowa State just kick the can down the road for Texas and Strong’s job security? A win on Saturday would go a long way in keeping Strong around for the 2017 football season. Do the Texas fans even want that at this point though? Tom Herman is lurking west of Austin and is ready to accept the job.

Texas doesn’t have a road win this season on their resume and they will still be looking for that first one after Saturday. Many of these Longhorns were a part of a team that got shut out in Ames just 12 months ago. I don’t think they solved their defensive issues last week either even with the six points allowed.

Snyder continues working the black magic and wizardry and tames the Longhorns Saturday morning.

The Picks: KSU -1.5, OVER 55

The Bets: $33

TCU (4-2) @ West Virginia (5-0)

Saturday, 2:30 PM, ABC

Line: WVU -6

O/U: 65

West Virginia is good folks. Going into Lubbock and shutting down their offense is no small feat and they made it look pretty easy. TCU now travels to Morgantown and isn’t even a touchdown underdog? I’m not buying that.

TCU has some obvious flaws. I don’t trust anyone that almost lost to Kansas.

The Picks: West Virginia -6, UNDER 65

The Bets: $33 each

Oklahoma (4-2) @ Texas Tech (3-3)

Saturday, 7 PM, FOX

Line: Oklahoma -14

O/U: 85

I don’t think Texas Tech’s offensive woes will continue for a second straight week, but their defensive woes probably will. The Sooners are starting to look like the class of the Big 12, but that will be decided when they meet up with the Mountaineers.

Kingsbury could really, really use this win to solidify his job security. Defense has been optional in Lubbock since he arrived and when the offense isn’t hitting on all cylinders they are a very beatable team. Is Texas Tech really going to be satisfied going 6-6 every year?

This one starts out at a shootout and continues that way, but the Sooners get a stop here and there to come out on top. The Red Raiders score late for the ol' backdoor cover. 85 is an absurd amount of points for a total, and you’d be a fool to take the over. I’m a fool hoping for a lot of points.

The Picks: Texas Tech +14, OVER 85

The Bets: $33, $55
