The AP Preseason Top 25 poll is out and Iowa State finds themselves in it for the 57th consecutive week! That's good enough for the 3rd longest streak in the country. The poll is loaded at the top with perennial powers such as Duke, Kentucky and Kansas.

Joining Iowa State from the Big 12 is previously mentioned Kansas (3), West Virginia (21) and Texas (22). Oklahoma was left on the outside looking in, receiving only 11 votes.

Iowa State will have a great opportunity early on in the season to extend the streak to 58 weeks. Basketball season starts this weekend with an exhibition game against Sioux Falls on Sunday. It’s going to be a great season, Cyclone fans. Enjoy the ride!
