It’s not too late to move Georges Niang up in those fantasy basketball rankings. The former Cyclone was impressive in his first NBA action since NBA Summer League. The forward scored 12 points and collected 8 rebounds in his first game against legitimate NBA talent.
Niang impressed several Pacers fans and media with his performance Tuesday night. Here is one of Niang’s first baskets.

Niang said after the game that he couldn’t believe how fast the game was. It was obvious early, but Georges settled in nicely from that point forward.

Up next for Georges Niang and the Pacers is a showdown with the Mayor himself, Fred Hoiberg. The Bulls will travel to Indiana on Thursday to play the Pacers for the first of two games against Niang’s team in three days. The game will start at 6 p.m. Central and be broadcast on Comcast Sportsnet Chicago.
