Last Week – Outlasted Texas Tech 45-44

If only the Cowboys could get mulligans with CMU and #FBU.

3 - - #10 West Virginia Mountaineers – Record, 8-1 (5-1)

Last Week – Beat Texas 24-20

If only West Virginia could get a little more respect.

4 - - Kansas State Wildcats– Record, 5-4 (3-3)

Last Week – Recharged Snyder’s battery pack

Old Man Snyder is reportedly disappointed with the prospect he may lose a vital source of his nourishment, as those in the country illegally fear mass deportations.

5 - - Texas Longhorns – Record, 5-5 (3-4)

Last Week – Lost to West Virginia 24-20

The Texas tour of mediocrity continues. With a trip to Lawrence remaining, the Longhorns should have no problem making a bowl game.

Problem is, the Texas faithful aren't satisfied with just making a bowl game.

Remaining Games – @Kansas, TCU

6 - - TCU Horned Frogs – Record, 5-4 (3-3)

Last Week – Studied the anatomical differences between frogs and lizards

Only one more win is needed for the Horned Frogs to become bowl eligible, but none of the remaining teams will offer an easy opportunity for victory. TCU has been up and down this season. Which team will finish? Time will tell.

7 - - Texas Tech Red Raiders – Record, 4-6 (2-5)

Last Week – Lost to Oklahoma State 45-44

I probably wouldn’t have gone for two either.

But, seriously, does Patrick Mahomes II have a bionic arm? Surely 50 throws a game wears on a human body over a 12-game season, doesn’t it?

Doesn’t it?

Remaining Games - @Iowa State, #FBU

8 - - Iowa State Cyclones – Record, 2-8 (1-6)

Last Week – WE BEAT KANSAS, EVERYBODY!

In what was arguably a must-win game for Matt Campbell and his transitioning Iowa State football team, the Cyclones were able to rally for the much-needed victory. Two games remain for the first year coach and next week’s matchup with Texas Tech could build on the momentum. It could also set Iowa State up for an 8^th place finish in the Big 12 standings, which would be another step in the right direction.

It was not a good weekend for the Jayhawks.
