Well, here we are the final home stand of the season and our tailgating chances are finally down to their last two attempts. Texas Tech is coming to town for what should be a high scoring affair, but scoring doesn’t matter here. We are here to talk booze and food — things all Cyclone fans can get behind!
We finally have a tailgate that is more tailored for a fun day. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. and tailgate lots should be opening around 8:30 a.m. So those of you that do not like to get up early, you get a little extra time to get moving.
Grab the coolers and let’s get to tailgating!
Weather: Windy and Cold(er)
The weather is going to be a little more November-like compared to what it has been like the last few weeks. The high for the day is going to be 43 degrees. The wind is going to be a factor though, as they’ll be out of the north at 15 to 25 mph and gusts could reach up to 40 mph. Real feel temperatures will be sitting in the lower 30s.

Make sure to bring some warm clothing, because it’s going to be a bit chilly. However, maybe you won’t even need more clothes, because with this week’s drink you may end up feeling it enough to not even care.
Drink: Fireball
Always a good treat when it is cold out. It is my personal choice to make you feel all warm inside and also give you a nice buzz for watching some Iowa State football. Be sure to bring plenty of it, especially if you are going to start early.
If you drink some Redd’s, put a shot of fireball in there and drink away. It gives you an extra buzz, plus it’s a good fall drink.
Or, you can be the crazy guy and drink the entire bottle. Then proceed to be the annoying guy in the game that thinks every call is the worst you’ve ever seen.
Don’t be that guy.
Game: Beersbee
Time to see who has the best accuracy. We have gone through pretty much every game that is popular at tailgates, and this week is no different. If you do not own this game, get it or make it. I do not care what you have to do to get it — just do it. Endless fun here, and it’s great for tailgating.

If you do not know the rules, here they are. Loser has to drink a shot of fireball, per official WRNL rules every week.
Song of the Week: Here For the Party
At this point, all we have is the party.
