Iowa State Falls Out of the AP Top 25

The streak of 61 consecutive weeks ranked in the top 25 has been snapped.

Iowa State has fallen from the ranks of the AP top 25 after losing at Iowa on Thursday. This marks the first time in 61 weeks that Iowa State hasn’t been ranked.

The Big 12 is still represented well in the top 25. Kansas and Baylor continue to sit at 3rd and 4th respectively. West Virginia is now ranked 12th and is climbing every week.

Iowa State only received one vote this week. If they want to jump back up into the rankings, they will have their work cut out for them. Playing under the radar might serve this team well as they look for answers on the offensive end of the floor.

Iowa State will take on Drake this Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena for the Hyvee Classic. The game will tip off at 6 p.m.
