Villanova Still Sits Atop the AP Top 25

Iowa State received only one vote for the second week in a row.

NCAA Basketball: Drake at Iowa State Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

Iowa State only managed to get one vote again in this week’s AP poll after pulling out a 17-point win against Drake. The Cyclones will take on Mississippi Valley State tomorrow night before taking another extended break. ISU’s next game would be Texas Tech on December 30th to start conference play.

Speaking of the Big 12, Kansas and Baylor continue to sit 3rd and 4th respectively in the rankings. West Virginia cand in at 11th, and Oklahoma State also received eight votes this week.

Villanova continues to put a stranglehold on the college basketball world. It’ll be interesting to see who their primary challenger for the top spot will be as the season continues. Right now, UCLA is making a strong case as they’ve had some big wins and continue to pass the eye test.
