Rankings from Intermat/Flowrestling/2-11-16 Coaches Panel

Key Matches

141

Boston's late move to 141 means he doesn't have any wins against Big XII opponents. So this match is important for him to have an argument for a decent seed in Kansas City.  0-2 with a loss to DeAngelo and Boston will probably be subject to the luck of the draw. 1-1 with a decision loss to Heil and a win over DeAngelo might be enough to earn him a seed.

184

If Dane is the guy on Sunday then a win over Scheffel would cement his NCAA allocation. If Downey is the guy then he needs a win for seeding purposes in Kansas City as well as to show he's an improvement over Pestano when the lights are on.

HWT

With his spot at #29 in the latest coaches panel, Smith is currently sitting just outside of earning an NCAA allocation for Big XIIs. A win against Vizcarrondo would put him in a good position to sneak up a couple of spots in the ranking and grab an allocation. However, that is easier said than done, as Smith is 0-2 in his career against Vizcarrondo.  Including a 12 second pin at Big XIs last March that cost Quean a trip to NCAAs.

Prediction

I see ISU winning six matches and winning somewhere along the lines of 18-13.
