Getting Up to Speed
Recap: We Need Those Stinkin' Rebounds! - A mixture of poor defense, rebounding, and officiating contributed to a 97-87 defeat for the Cyclones in Morgantown.
We're Talking Kansas State - IT'S THE SECOND TO LAST GAME FOR GEORGES NIANG IN HILTON COLISEUM AND THAT IS JUST PLAIN SAD.
Preview: K-State at Iowa State - Bring On The Cats wonders if the Big 12 Conference is the strongest it's ever been this year.
Kansas St.-Iowa St. Preview - More of the same for Iowa State... Amazing offense and bad defense.
Prediction
Cylentbutdeadly says there's no way in hell that Iowa State loses the remaining home games (Kansas State and Oklahoma State) on their schedule. I completely agree. Niang and company are going to be locked in, and the Wildcats and Cowboys just don't have the firepower to keep up with the Cyclones' offense.
The thing I'll be looking for in the last few games of the season is an improved effort rebounding the ball from ISU. Limiting opponents' offensive possessions will be crucial for postseason success. Scoring the ball won't be an issue, and Iowa State's defense has shown glimpses of being good, but giving teams more than one chance at scoring the ball per possession has led to some of the tough losses as of late.
Tonight, I'll take the 'Clones by about 10.
Iowa State 75 - Kansas State 65
