Getting Up to Speed

Recap: Turnovers, Lack of Toughness Cost Iowa State - Last time out, the Cyclones lost their second home game of the year to the West Virginia Mountaineers, 81-76.

We're Talking Oklahoma State - Cylentbutdeadly liked the Clones with OSU's Jawun Evans out (and he's been officially ruled out), however.......

Jameel McKay Suspended Indefinitely, Will Not Travel to Stillwater - The dramatic Jameel McKay saga continues, as Coach Prohm has suspended him for today's game. McKay claims his suspension is only one game, but we'll wait and see if that turns out to be true.

Iowa St.-Oklahoma St. Preview - ESPN's preview centers around McKay needing to play at the top of his game for Iowa State to max out. L.O.L.

Prediction

Before the McKay news, I would have predicted a slim Iowa State victory. Now, I'm going with the Cowboys to take today's game. ISU's small ball lineup of Monte Morris, Matt Thomas, Abdel Nader, Deonte Burton and Georges Niang is potent offensively, but they'll struggle defending in the post mightily and even defending in general.

This one could turn into one of those frustrating games where no shots seem to fall. Either that, or I'm completely wrong and the Cyclones will come out uber-focused and put on a show even in McKay's absence.

I'm praying for the latter.
