On This Day in Sports History
MARCH 17, 2004. Behind Jackson Vroman's 23 points, Curtis Stinson's 31, a whopping 52 in the second half and a program record 74.4% FROM THE FIELD (which still stands today), Iowa State defeated Georgia in the first round of the NIT. The Cyclones went on to beat Florida State and Marquette before falling in overtime to Rutgers (?) in the semifinal.
You have mere minutes to get yourself sufficiently hyped for the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. We're here to help. Enjoy these top moments from past tourneys (NOT SHOWN EVER: HAMPTON, UAB, MATEEN CLEAVES). God bless you, NCAA On Demand.
