Iowa State Basketball
BUH BUH BUH BYE, IONA! Despite numerous national analysts proclaiming Iona over ISU as their upset pick of the first round, the Cyclones took down the Gaels to advance to the NCAA Tournament's second round.
WHAT SHOULDER INJURY? Monte Morris looked back to normal on Thursday and Georges Niang became just the fourth player since 1994-95 to record 2,000 points, 700 rebounds and 400 assists in his career.
MATTY NICE. One of the key players for the victory over Iona was Matt Thomas, who played yet another complete game.
WORK IT, JAMEEL. Cameras caught Jameel McKay dancing during the win yesterday and McKay says he was inspired by Rihanna and Naz Mitrou-Long.
GROWN UP CLONES. Chris Williams says the difference between this year's squad and the one that got upset by UAB last year is their maturity.
SUCK IT, HATERS. ISU silenced the doubters and haters on Thursday.
A SURPRISE OPPONENT. Thanks to an upset, the Cyclones won't be taking on Purdue tomorrow - they'll be taking on Arkansas Little Rock. UALR erased a 14-point deficit with five minutes left in regulation and came out on top in double overtime against the Boilermakers.
UALR BY THE NUMBERS. The statistical look at Iowa State's Saturday opponent in the NCAA Tournament from Kirk Haaland is already out.
GAME TIME. Clear your calendars for 5:10 p.m. CDT on Saturday.
Iowa State-Ark.-Little Rock will tip at 5:10 p.m. (CT)/4:10 p.m. (MT) on TNT.

KEEP DROPPIN' BOMBS. Randy Pete says Iowa State needs to keep hitting from long range against Little Rock.
Iowa State Wrestling
FOUR IN THE QUARTERS. In a surprisingly good day for Cyclone wrestling, the team qualified four wrestlers for the quarterfinals at the 2016 NCAA Wrestling Championship.
March Madness
BAD NEWS BEARS. Besides Purdue, the first major upset of the Tourney on Thursday was 12-seed Yale beating 5-seed Baylor. We should have seen it coming with Baylor players shoving each other during a timeout.
HE'S TECHNICALLY RIGHT. After the loss, Baylor's Taurean Prince helped explain how Yale out-rebounded Baylor in the most straightforward way possible.
INVEST IN ANTIPERSPIRANT. The third major upset of the Tourney was 11-seed Wichita State beating 6-seed Arizona. During the game, Arizona coach Sean Miller couldn't stop completely sweating through his shirt.
A NICE BLOB. Providence ran a baseline out of bounds play and got a player completely wide open under the hoop to beat USC with just a couple seconds left in the game.
BRACKET UPDATE. Need a refresher on all the action so far? The mothership's got you covered.
Around the Country
NOT GREAT DEFENSE. James Harden has never been a shining example of a great defender. Here's another example of him falling asleep on D.
STEPH GONNA STEPH. Add a fadeaway banked-in 3-pointer to Steph Curry's shot repertoire.
INTERVIEW BOMBING. STARING DIRECTLY INTO YOUR SOUL.
KD TO BOSTON? Celtics fans are trying to make it so by chanting at him.
KICK A MAN... While he's down. Wizards fans used the D.C. Metro closure to mock Derrick Rose with this hilarious sign.
