Show Your Support for Building a Wall - Around Iowa City!

As many of you know, “Hate Week” starts next week with the annual Cy-Hawk game taking place next Saturday in Kinnick Stadium. We’ve been busy behind the scenes prepping some great content to make fun of our former Super Bowl opponent. However, we’re getting Hate Week started just a little early this year, and for good reason.

Today, we’re releasing our latest WRNL T-shirt - “I Support Building a Wall!”

The original plan was to release these shirts on Monday of Hate Week to kick off five days of Hawkeye hatred. However, to accommodate what will be a busy week for our T-shirt supplier Gameday Depot, and also to allow you more time to get your shirts before the game, we’re making the shirts available today.

Now, I know what you’re thinking... “Wow, WRNL is rolling with the joke my dad told me when I was 5-years-old?” You’re damn right we are. #DadJokesLivesMatter

With this presidential election cycle, the topic of building a wall has never been more prominent for people of the United States. We just want to ensure the wall that’s built is put in a place where it’ll be best for Americans as a whole. That place is obviously around Iowa City.

To gauge the public reaction to these shirts prior to release, WRNL reached out to an anonymous American citizen for comment. Here’s what they had to say:

“I’m excited. I’m very, very, very excited about the newest shirt from Wide Right & Natty Lite. It’s great. It’s the best shirt you can buy. Thousands of people will tell me this shirt is the best after it’s released. Believe me.”

“Those people in eastern Iowa keep sending us their worst people. Drunks. Thieves. Public fornicators. Vandals. And people who are on drugs. I’ve talked to the families of many victims of hate from these people, it’s incredible really. Those Hawkeyes need to be stopped as soon as possible.”

“We need to build a wall around Iowa City. The greatest wall ever. And we need to fill it with water. Then make them pay for it. It’s brilliant. This T-shirt is brilliant. Believe me.”
