Hudson originally committed to Purdue before decommitting on Saturday. He gave his pledge to the Clones during an in-home visit with assistant coaches D.K. McDonald and Tom Manning.
Hudson has an interesting story that includes homelessness and massive weight loss that led to his becoming one of the best lineman prospects out of Michigan. Hudson’s football skills are rather raw, but, at 6’9” and 285 pounds, he has the physical attributes that give him the potential to develop as a great lineman with some coaching at the next level. You can check out his highlights here.
Iowa State currently has the 45th-ranked recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports, and 33rd overall according to Rivals. With two weeks left until signing day, Iowa State still has a few scholarships left to fill.
