Sound the sirens once again!
Iowa State continues its quest to gain some depth on the offensive line. That quest got closer to its goal today when Jacob Bolton out of Blessed Trinity High School made his commitment known when offensive coordinator Tom Manning stopped in for a visit.

Bolton is a 3-star offensive lineman with a composite rating of 80 on 247Sports. He held offers from Maryland and East Carolina and had recently visited Ole Miss, who was giving him a hard look late in the recruiting process. Bolton is the 5th commit on the offensive line for the 2017 class to go along with grad transfer Dave Dawson.
Bolton has great size upside, and could potentially see playing time all over the line. He’ll be one to keep an eye on as he grows within the program.

Iowa State currently has the 47th ranked recruiting class on 247Sports and the 7th ranked class in the Big 12. Matt Campbell and company still have a few more spots to fill, which means this class is looking like it may be one of Iowa State’s best ever.
Stay tuned for continuing coverage as National Signing Day approaches. We are only one week away.
