Baylor Ranked #1 in AP Top 25

Iowa State received 7 votes this week.

NCAA Basketball: Iowa State at Baylor Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

Baylor is now the new #1 team in the country after a 2-0 week paired with former #1 Villanova falling to Butler. Iowa State received 7 votes after the Cyclones gave the Bears everything they could handle in Waco on Wednesday.

Kansas is now ranked 2nd in the nation after their walk-off win against Kansas State and thumping of Texas Tech. West Virginia is ranked 10th and Kansas State has joined the party, jumping into the poll tied for the 25th spot.

Iowa State will have a big week coming up as they go on the road for two straight. They will travel to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State and then to Fort Worth to take on TCU. If the Cyclones can pull out some big wins this week, we may see them return to the top 25.

Game time against Oklahoma State is 8 p.m. Wednesday on ESPNU.
