George Conditt Commits To Iowa State

Iowa State just got much taller in the post.

Iowa State has had some size issues in the post the last few seasons. Don’t think that is going to be an issue with the 2018 recruiting class.

6 foot-10 inch power forward George Conditt made his commitment known to Iowa State Monday afternoon. He was choosing between Iowa State, New Mexico and Illinois. Conditt is the 218th ranked player in the 2018 class and the 52nd best power forward in the class.

Conditt is already familiar with Zion Griffin, who is already a part of Steve Prohm’s class. Both are from the Chicago area and have known each other for some time. Griffin has proven to be a building block with this year's class, and it continues with Conditt.

George Conditt’s father played football at Iowa State in the 90’s. Familiarity with the campus and the opportunity to play at the school his father did was one of the attractions for him to Iowa State.

Iowa State now has three commitments in the 2018 class, and has one more scholarship to fill. Tyler Harris and Talen Horton-Tucker appear to be names that have been mentioned to take the last scholarship. We should know more soon who that may be.

Stay tuned to WRNL as more recruiting news becomes available.
